Nerubian sages,[2][3][4] also known as viziers[5] or nerubian priests,[6] are a type of tall and highly intelligent nerubians. In Azjol-Nerub, they served as advisors, sorcerers, and seers to the spiderlords prior to the War of the Spider.[5] In Azj-Kahet, they commonly appear as alchemists and battlefield spellcasters.

Being derived from the aqir sages, nerubian sages were alchemically re-introduced to serve as spell-casters, wielders of the powers of the Old Gods, and keepers of genetic memory (similar to queens).[7]
