Micro Menu

The Micro Menu, also known as the Interface Panel,[1] is a collection of small buttons located found by default in the bottom right of the screen. The buttons provide access to the most prominent interfaces available through normal gameplay such as accessing the Talents, Quest Log, or even the Game Menu.
Character info
This button opens the Character Info window (sometimes referred to as the "paper doll"). The default keybind is C.
The icon changes to the character's headshot instead of displaying a default character portrait (such as the night elf icon below). This functionality was removed with the UI refresh in patch 10.0.0 and was later reinstated with patch 10.1.5.
Professions
This button opens the Professions window. The default keybind is K. This replaced the Spellbook in patch 11.0.0 as it was merged into the Talents window.
Talents & Spellbook
This button opens the Talents & Spellbook window. The default keybind is N. It was renamed from just Talents in patch 11.0.0 as the Spellbook was merged into the window.
- Vanilla and Warlords of Draenor betas only
Achievements
This button opens the Achievements window which also includes the Guild achievements and Statistics. The default keybind is Y. It was added in patch 3.0.2.
Quest Log
This button opens the Map & Quest Log window. The default keybind is L and M. It was renamed from just Quest Log in patch 6.0.2 as the World Map was merged into the window and then renamed to just Quest Log while the window itself remains as "Map & Quest Log".
- Vanilla — patch 4.0.1
Guild & Communities
This button opens the Guild & Communities window which also contains the Guild and Guild list. The default keybind is J. It replaced the Socials button in patch 4.0.1. The icon changes to the guild color/crest chosen if in a guild. Patch 6.0.2 removed this functionality but it was re-added once again in patch 10.1.5.
A orange dot icon above the button indicates unread messages from a community or Blizzard Group.
Group Finder
This button opens the Group Finder window. The default keybind is I. It was added as Looking For Group in patch 2.0.1, replacing the World Map button. It was later renamed to the Group Finder in patch 3.3.0 with a complete new system.
Warband Collections
This button opens the Warband Collections window. The default keybind is ⇧ Shift+P. It was added in patch 5.0.4, renamed from Mounts And Pets in patch 6.0.2 and renamed once again from Collections in patch 11.0.0.
Adventure Guide
This button opens the Adventure Guide window. The default keybind is ⇧ Shift+J. It was added in patch 4.2.0 as the Encounter Journal and renamed to Adventure Guide in patch 6.0.2.
Shop
This button opens the In-Game Store window. It was added in patch 5.4.2.
Game Menu
This button opens the Game Menu window. The default keybind is ⎋ Esc, however the button will only open the game menu if no other windows are open. If other windows are open, pressing the button will instead close any open windows first then pressing it again will open the game menu.
The tooltip for this button shows valuable information such as the latency, framerate, bandwidth, download percentage, and memory used by AddOns and what AddOns are using the most.
- Vanilla — Patch 5.4.7
- The Game Menu tooltip from Classic, includes info for each item
A small line at the bottom of the button called the "latency status bar" displays as green, yellow, or red color depending on the player's latency. During Vanilla and The Burning Crusade, it was its own interface, integrated into the interface bar itself and would change color based on the latency. Its functionality was merged with the Options button in patch 3.0.2, with the monitor screen changing colors to indicate the latency and changed once Patch 5.4.7 further changed this to a colored line at the bottom of the button. This colored line carried over with the patch 10.0.0 UI refresh.
Introduced with patch 4.0.1, this icon replaces the Game Menu icon if game data is being downloaded with the arrow color indicating the amount of data needed.
