Pet tab
There were various Pet tabs within the user interface over the lifespan of World of Warcraft.
Spellbook
- Main article: Spellbook
The tab located in the Spellbook shows players what the currently active pet is capable of doing and what passive buffs they're receiving from their talents. The tab is available to hunters and warlocks.
- Their abilities since patch 10.0.0.
- Their abilities since Cataclysm
Character info
The tab in the character info window provided players information about their currently active pet, such as their diet, attack power, etc. This tab had more useful information to hunters than warlocks.
Prior to Cataclysm, the Companions and Mounts tab were also available here for all classes to access while the "Pet" tab was solely available only to hunters and warlocks.
Specialization & Talents
In Mists of Pandaria, a pet tab was added under the Specialization & Talents interface, replacing the Pet Talents tab from the previous Talents interface. This tab contained information about the three pet specializations. During Legion, it also allowed the hunter to change their pet's specialization freely while out of combat.
While the UI is still available in-game, it can only be accessed via macro (/run TalentFrame_LoadUI(); ShowUIPanel(PlayerTalentFrame);
) and the functionality of it is broken.
