Trivia
- The filename for the gryphon appearing on the bar is named
UI-MainMenuBar-EndCap-Dwarf.blp
. Likewise, the unused wyvern one is namedUI-MainMenuBar-EndCap-Human.blp
. This could indicate that the interface was originally planned to be race-specific, like in Warcraft III. The wyvern would be used for the Horde with the UI overhaul in Dragonflight, 18 years later since the original release. - During the Dragonflight beta, the new UI had two versions of the updated gryphon artwork: one sitting down and one in flight. It was likely planned to update the interface art to the flight variant when the player was dragonriding. However, the flight artwork would be removed in a later beta build.
