Draenei (language)
- For the draenei race, see Draenei.
Draenei[1] (or Draenic)[2] is the name of the official language used by all types of draenei from Outland or Azeroth,[3] including Broken, Lost Ones and uncorrupted draenei. It is likely most of the language is derived from the original dialect of Eredun, if not the exact same language, and they are shown to use the same alphabet, but some of it may be derived from native languages of Draenor. The uncorrupted draenei speak Draenei and Common.
Draenei primer (official translations)
Here are a few Draenei phrases and words, for which the translations have been officially confirmed by Blizzard:
- Aar-don'sha, ki kahl'dos. = In the Light, we triumph. Spoken by Yrel. This spelling is not confirmed.
- Achal hecta = Good day.[4] Said by Broken.
- Archenon poros = Good fortune.[4]
- The first word can also be spelled "arkanon," as seen in the description for [Shadowmoon Schnapps].
- Atar va hish'ana, maat irim ita. = Beneath the eternal stars, we walk together.[5]
- Auchindoun = A Home for the Honored Dead.[6]

"Demon" is probably an appropriate translation.
- Pheta thones gamera. = Light, guide our path.[18]
- Pheta vi acahachi![19] = Light give me strength![7]
- Sha = Light. It is used in a contextual sense and not referring to the Holy Light.[20] Not to be confused with the sha, the manifestations of negative emotions found in Pandaria.
- Sha'tar = Born from light.[21]
- Shattrath = Dwelling of light.[21]

Draenei translator
This is the list of words created by the in-game language parser, which is listed as language number 35 (word range 1495-1620) in the Language text file. It shares words with Draconic, Eredun (Demonic) and Titan parser lists, though there are some differences. Draenei cannot understand Demonic.
Note: The language algorithm used by the in-game "translator" merely makes the words look like Draenei. It does not actually translate words. Therefore, translated in-game speech isn't true Draenei. It is not certain if these words are true words in the Draenei language or not.
