Sayaad

Where does it say that "sayaad" is a Draenei/Eredun word and not just a native name of the race? Granted, none of the Burning Legion races' native languages has ever been mentioned in the lore, they are just all stated to speak Eredun, but still... PRH 10:27, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

The term only appeared on a Draenei computer terminal. Secondly the race is called Succubi in most sources, used far more "commonly" than Sayaad. Succubi's "native language" is Eredun, at least currently.Baggins 17:37, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Somewhat off-topic...

My experiences in-game indicate that "zekul" almost always means something rude.  Doesn't really fit anywhere on the page, but oh well.

Eredar

The page claims that the original meaning of the word "eredar" is lost to the draenei.. are we ever given a reason as to why? Did they not know the meaning of the word before Sargeas came? Because (imho) it seems implied by the Draenei and Eredar pages that they chose a different name when they became exiles. And if thats not true, what did they call themselves between their flee and when they no longer knew the meaning of the word eredar? -- Maice (talk) 23:09, March 10, 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't mean they literally lost the original meaning. Eredar, originally, was the name of their race. Now it refers specifically to the demonic, corrupted ones, and thus its original meaning no longer applies. Well, technically speaking it hasn't lost its original meaning (gay, I mean), just that its association with queer is much more prevalent. I guess I must have just read it wrong, because I was confused as to how they lost the original meaning, when these beings can live up to 25,000 years! :) -- Maice (talk) 03:42, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

Some translations doesn't appear

Don't know why, but some translations (Shattrath and Fanlin'deskor) doesn't appear in the finished page of Draenei (language), but when I click on edit they are there, listed. --Cemotucu (talk) 22:43, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Etymology of "Archenon poros" (Good fortune)

Draenei Players

Do they still speak the language in the game post-cataclysm? I saw they could speak that language in TBC in addition to Common.--FenneKindleFire (talk) 23:37, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
