Blood and Thunder is a comic published digitally by Blizzard Entertainment as a tie-in for the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion.

It features Fenris Wolfbrother.

Description

Fenris Wolfbrother’s bravery and strength is matched only by his desire to prove himself a capable warrior at any cost. While his father Garad, chieftain of the Frostwolves, warns Fenris of the perils of putting one’s own whims before the needs of the family, the neighboring Thunderlord clan hunts and slays the dangerous Gronn without restriction or remorse.

Envious of the Thunderlord and dismissive of his father’s teachings, Fenris begins a double life. During the day, he will be a tame, obedient Frostwolf… at night, under a different name, he becomes something else entirely.

But Fenris must still bear responsibility for both his actions and those of the “Iron Wolf.”[1]

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

While not directly confirmed by Blizzard,[3] it is possible that the events (except the one on the last page) hold true also for the main universe since the histories of the universes, except for few blades of grass, are said to be almost identical. Micky Neilson also confirmed the main-universe Fenris being Durotan's brother.[4] World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 2 confirms Fenris's abandonment of the Frostwolf clan. Only the ending when Garad and Ga'nar were ambushed by Fenris is exclusive to the alternate universe as neither of them were alive at that time in the main universe.
