Race descriptions
- Auchindoun Coaster
- Welcome to the Auchindoun Coaster.
- We try not to set too many of our races on holy ground, its[sic] disrespectful. But after all this place had suffered with the warlocks, demons, arakkoa, ethereals, and whatever Murmur was; there isn't all that much left to revere other than the ruins.
- Ruins make some of the best racecourses. What better way to get to know a culture than diving through ancient stonework, and avoiding the surprisingly strong metal reinforcements in their structures?
- Blade's Edge Brawl
- This is the Blade's Edge Brawl.
- The inspiration for this came from a talk that Sabellian gave. He talked of the struggles he faced in Outland. How Gruul the Dragonkiller used the spear like terrain of the Blade's Edge Mountains as weapons against his flight. Horrifying.
- But I must admit, as a racing enthusiast all I could think of during that emotional talk was what an awesome course that would make.
- Coilfang Caper
- This race is the Coilfang Caper. So named after the plot to steal what water remains in this world. The naga of Coilfang Reservoir stole what was left of the Zangar Sea, and from the moist spongy ground these great mushrooms sprouted.
- Fortunately for racers like us, it gives us a complicated course with many tight turns and obstacles. Less fortunate for the thirsty survivors still in Outland.
- Eco-Dome Excursion
- Welcome to the Eco-Dome Excursion.
- We timekeepers are big fans of forest courses, but due to the manaforges, there are precious little plants left in the Netherstorm. But the ethereals had the foresight to construct the eco-domes.
- When I say foresight, I mean "business acumen". You don't want to know what I paid to secure permission for you to fly inside.
- Fel Pit Fracas
- This race is the Fel Pit Fracas.
- Sorry about the odor. And the fires. Actually, the whole environment is unpleasant. Gul'dan really did a number on this world. This toxic volcano is the least of his offenses. Still--yuck.
- Keep your pace up, stay low to get as much vigor as possible, and stay out of the lava. I know that seems obvious, but you mortals love to stand in the fire.
- Hellfire Hustle
- The Hellfire Hustle has you flying over bottomless canyons, demon infested battlefields and skimming the Dark Portal itself. Ponder all the strife that has occurred in the modern era, the wars between orcs and humans, the invasion of the Legion, all because of this one stone archway.
- Don't get too distracted, that dread portal has quite a few unexpected protrusions that will knock you right out of the race. Think of the weight of history as you keep your eyes on the course.
- Razorthorn Rise Rush
- This race is the Razorthorn Rise Rush.
- This grove of twisty, thorn covered bramble the size of trees holds a special place in the hearts of us Timekeepers. This was one of the first places you mortals visited once you started flying in Outland.
- You couldn't have picked a more exciting spot. If the tight turns don't run you into the twisting trunks, the spiky thorns may just scrape you off your mount.
- Shadowmoon Slam
- The Shadowmoon Slam takes a thrilling run through the courtyard of the fel-turned Black Temple that was once ruled by Illidan Stormrage himself.
- I wanted to try the race myself once but... I was not prepared!
- Shattrath City Sashay
- Welcome to the Shattrath City Sashay where you will be turning and weaving through the overpasses and rooftops of this refuge. You'll even get a chance to visit the naaru A'dal as you swoop through their audience chamber.
- The city doesn't have much in the way of entertainment for all the refugees, so let's give them a show!
- Skettis Scramble
- The Skettis Scramble awaits.
- This tree filled valley that is perfect for racing was a secret of the arakkoa for many years. The arakkoa have lost the ability to fly, and I generally don't want to remind people of their past trauma.
- Unless those people are tremendous jerks, which most arakkoa are. Be sure to wave cheekily at them as you fly overhead at top speed.
- Telaar Tear
- Welcome to the Telaar Tear
- We can see one of the last intact settlements of the Draenei overlooking these plains. If you could travel the timeways you could see how most of Draenor was once as verdant and beautiful as this. Wait-- what year is this?
- Right! Never mind all that. You know about Draenor in the past, but you might not remember how twisty the canyons of Nagrand are. Very.
- Tempest Keep Sweep
- The Tempest Keep Sweep will send you hurtling along the edge of the Twisting Nether, skimming the manaforge infrastructure before sending you into Tempest Keep itself.
- I must confess, I love the crystalline aesthetic of the naaru. So, if you are wondering why you are flying so close to the crystal spires of the keep and attendant ships, it's to give you as close a look of their beauty as possible.
- Warmaul Wingding
- This is the Warmaul Wingding race. I think we should be quick about this before the ogres realize we are here. These Warmaul ogres are reportedly able to drive off the gronn. We timekeepers are racing enthusiasts, not warriors.
- I came here for the floating islands, deep canyons, and tight turns. I leave that fighting to you champions.
