"Strange winds blow in from another world, and sightings of odd, bag-holding creatures spot the land... Find them, and see what treasure they may hold!"

A Greedy Emissary is a world event celebrating the Diablo franchise. The second run ran from 1 July to 1 August 2025.

During the event, the Demon Portal will spawn with the Yellow portal icon yellow portal icon on the map and will last for 5 minutes which then the Treasure Goblin spawns which will appear on the map as the Maldraxxi abomination icon maldraxxi abomination icon. There is no loot lockout or minimum level requirement.

Portals spawn hourly at the top of the hour at [27, 27] in Stormwind Harbor, at [46, 13] south of Gates of Orgrimmar, and at [62, 81] just southeast of Dornogal. Rares in Undermine will spawn a portal when they're killed, but only once per hour.

Most weekly quests award a  [Hellcaller Chest] in addition to their other rewards. All Treasure Goblins also drop a chest.

Recolored Tier 2 ensembles

Ginther, Baranar, and Skullder at the Forgegrounds in Dornogal, wearing the paladin, mage, and rogue sets respectively

Baranar at the Forgegrounds in Dornogal trades the [Hellstone Shard] currency for recolors of the Tier 2 sets from the 20th Anniversary.

The introductory quest, N [1-80] Hellunters Wanted, awards 13 shards. The first ten  [Hellcaller Chest] drops from Treasure Goblins or weekly quest rewards have six guaranteed shards, and any subsequent chests have a slim chance of containing five shards.
