Bonus Event
Bonus Events are special time-limited events that last one week. The current Event is selected through a rotating schedule of seven different Bonus Events. Each type grants players a special buff for the duration that increases rewards from the highlighted type of content, and a once-per-event quest with a noteworthy reward for accomplishing a related goal.
The schedule for current and future Bonus Events can be viewed through the in-game calendar. Players can also find the current Event and accept any relevant quests through the Adventure Guide.
In Dragonflight, Kazra offers quests related to the active Bonus Event.
Types
Timewalking
- Main article: Timewalking
There are six different Timewalking Bonus Events: One for content from each expansion from The Burning Crusade through Legion. Each event comes with its own reputation buff for reputations in that expansion, and a quest to Defeat 5 Timewalking raid bosses or dungeons.

Dragonflight dungeons
During this Bonus Event, the final boss of each Dragonflight dungeon will award an extra item upon defeat due to 
[Sign of the Warrior].
Kazra will offer [70W] Emissary of War.
Battlegrounds
During this Bonus Event, the 
[Honor] gained from Battleground objectives and wins are increased by 50% due to 
[Sign of Battle].
Kazra will offer [70W] A Call to Battle.
Skirmishes
During this Bonus Event, skirmishes will award [Honor] at an increased rate due to 
[Sign of the Skirmisher].
Kazra will offer [70W] The Arena Calls.
World Quests
During this Bonus Event, players will earn extra reputation with the appropriate faction upon completing world quests due to 
[Sign of the Emissary].
Kazra will offer [70W] The World Awaits.
Pet Battles
Pet Battle Bonus Events grant players double pet experience from pet battles due to 
[Sign of the Critter]. Winning five PvP Pet Battles as part of a special quest will award an 
[Ultimate Battle-Training Stone].
Kazra will offer [70W] The Very Best.
Notes
When patch 7.0.3 was released, the usual schedule was replaced for the final run-up to Legion: Timewalking (BC, WotLK, Cata), Apexis, and Draenor dungeons. The final bonus event concluded one week before the launch of the Legion expansion. Bonus events did not start up again until September 27, 2016, when an updated Arena Skirmish began.
In Legion, the Draenor Dungeons event was replaced by Legion Dungeons, and Apexis replaced by World Quests.
With the release of patch 8.0.1, the schedule remained unchanged but otherwise generally followed Legion precedent: No bonus events in the two weeks prior to launch of Battle for Azeroth, and beginning again five weeks later with Battle for Azeroth Dungeons on September 11, 2018.
Removed
- Shadowlands dungeons
During this Bonus Event, the final boss of each Shadowlands dungeon will award an extra item upon defeat.
- Battle for Azeroth dungeons
During this Bonus Event, the final boss of each Battle for Azeroth dungeon will award an extra item upon defeat.
- Legion dungeons
During this Bonus Event, the final boss of each Legion dungeon will award an extra item upon defeat.
- Apexis Crystals
During this Event, eligible creatures will drop extra Apexis Crystals. Completing three area assault objectives during the Event will award the player with additional Oil for use in the garrison shipyard.
- Warlords of Draenor dungeons
During this Bonus Event, players will earn reputation with an appropriate faction upon defeating enemies in any Draenor dungeon. Completing four Mythic-difficulty Warlords dungeons as a part of a special quest during the Event will award a Heroic Hellfire Citadel Raid cache.
