Mikanikos is a steward and the Forgelite Prime of Bastion, in charge of the Eternal Forge and the creation of all Centurion constructs. He's the second Forgelite Prime in existence[3][4] and is considered the wisest and smartest of all the stewards.[5] His tool is the hammer  [Phaestus, Genesis of Aeons], which belonged to the First Forgelite.[6] Mikanikos had an apprentice named Famos, but she stole his tools and joined the Forsworn.[1]

Biography

Bastion

Mikanikos is first encountered at the Mnemonic Locus where he met with Kleia and a Maw Walker, who had come there to unlock the memories held within a fragment of Lysonia, which she left behind during the assault in the Temple of Purity. He told them that the place had been taken over by the Forsworn and that they would have to restore the Locus first if they were going to study Lysonia's memories.[7] After helping Mikanikos restore the Locus they were able to put Lysonia's fragment in it and extract her memories which could then be viewed through soul mirrors.[8] Mikanikos and Kleia stayed behind while the Maw Walker proceeded to look through Lysonia's past until they were interrupted by the corrupted Locus-Keeper Mnemis while watching a crucial memory.[9] Mikanikos, having caught up with the Maw Walker, was able to restore the centurion to its original programming.[10] The Mnemis then told the group that, due to the contents of the memory, they would only be able to view it at the Vault of the Archon which was locked.[11] After unlocking the vault and accessing the inner chamber they were able to learn that the memory had a signature unique to one of the Paragons and also that the Forsworn were in league with the Maw.[12] Having learned all of this, Mikanikos set on to prepare the centurions while Kleia and the Maw Walker headed off to Hero's Rest where they were going to hatch a plan to reach the Elysian Hold and gain an audience with the Archon.[13]

When the House of Rituals and the House of Constructs, who had allied with the Forsworn, assaulted the Temple of Courage Mikanikos came to the temples' aid, mobilizing his centurions to defend the temple.<refN [10-53] Now or Never</ref> He rebuilt a Centurion Colossus who had been damaged by Nalthor the Rimebinder, with parts collected by the Maw Walker and Thanikos.[14] The colossus was then used to clear the sky above the Shattered Span which allowed Thanikos and the Maw Walker to access the Necrotic Wake and come to the aid of Xandria, the Paragon of Courage.[15]
