The Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent are an extremely rare drop from the Sha of Anger in Kun-Lai Summit.

They can also be found listed in the Black Market Auction House by Madam Goya, for the opening bid of 20,000. It is also sold by Hemet Nesingwary XVII for 38,500 at the Infinite Bazaar locations during Pandaria Remix.

Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpents are born with violet scales covering the entirety of their body. Over time, these scales darken to the color of onyx.

Hotfix (2022-11-16): The drop chances for Son of Galleon’s Saddle, Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent, Reins of the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn, Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent, and Solar Spirehawk have been greatly increased.
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): No longer requires [Cloud Serpent Riding] to use.
