- Summons and dismisses a rideable Algarian Stormrider. This is a dragonriding mount.
The Algarian Stormrider is a stormrook mount obtained by purchasing the Heroic or Epic Edition of The War Within.
Obtaining this mount rewards the 
[Heroic Edition: Algarian Stormrider] feat of strength.

Flying true even in the harshest conditions, this lightning-infused rook was trained to soar through the skies of the Isle of Dorn and into the depths below.
Customization
This mount comes with many customization options, which can be changed at a Rostrum of Transformation.

Notes and trivia
- During Dragonflight, the mount had a unique ability,
[Lightning Rush], which replaced 
[Whirling Surge]. With The War Within, it is now a choice node with the [Whirling Surge] in the Skyriding Skill Track and usable by all mounts capable of the flight style. - This mount was the first non-dragon mount capable of dragonriding.
- It can participate in a series of special "storm races" through
[10-70] The Storm Race Tour quest. Completing these races is required to upgrade the Stormrider's Attire transmog set into the Thundering Stormrider's Attire.
- Originally, it couldn't be used for the regular dragonriding races throughout the Dragon Isles as starting a race forced the player to mount the
[Renewed Proto-Drake]. This restriction has since been lifted.

- The unique ability [Lightning Rush] is no longer exclusive.
- Mount journal entry updated from "Bred to fly true in the harshest conditions, this lightning-infused gryphon was trained in the thane's rookery to soar through the skies of Khaz Algar and into the depths below.".
