The World of Warcraft: The War Within Heroic Edition is a digital-only release of The War Within.

On 23 July 2024, additional color variants for the Stormrider's Attire (and for the upgrade variant) were added.

• The Stormrider's Attire variants can be obtained by completing the quest  [1-80] The Stormrider's Bond, available from Kurdran Wildhammer in Valdrakken or  [70-80] The Stormrider's Bond from Stormrider Bruelda in Dornogal. Then complete the quest  [1-80] A Sacred Connection /  [70-80] A Sacred Connection to receive the upgraded variants.
  • Normal attire:  [Ensemble: Champion Stormrider's Attire],  [Ensemble: Deep Stormrider's Attire], and  [Ensemble: Shining Stormrider's Attire]
  • Upgraded attire:  [Ensemble: Sparking Stormrider's Attire],  [Ensemble: Frenzied Stormrider's Attire], and  [Ensemble: Shocking Stormrider's Attire]

• While not listed in the contents, the quest chain starting with  [10-70] Lightning Strikes to upgrade the attire to their Thundering variant also includes access to exclusive feats of strength and a title.
