- Not to be confused with Shadehound (skeletal hound).
Shadehounds are magical beasts created deep within the Beastwarrens of The Maw.[1] Their armor plating is covered in slowly shifting runes.[2] Their fur can spontaneously combust.[3] They are created through soulforging an animal soul with stygia at the Forge of Domination.[4]
As a mount
These mounts can be used in The Maw prior to unlocking mounts access (via the Korthia questline).
[Bound Shadehound] is a quest reward from 
[60] Feral Shadehound.
[Mawsworn Soulhunter] drops from Gorged Shadehound in The Maw.
[Corridor Creeper] is an achievement reward from 
[Twisting Corridors: Layer 8].
