Spectral sabers are gray undead saber cats found in Black Rook Hold. Like Lord Ravencrest's followers, their souls were brought back after Gul'dan conducted a ritual to separate the soul of Illidan Stormrage from his body.[1] According to Celestine of the Harvest, their spirits are cursed beyond redemption and must be put down.[2]
