Flameweaver Koegler is a human located in the Scarlet Halls wing of the Scarlet Monastery. He serves as the third and last boss of the dungeon.

Koegler was responsible for the destruction of many priceless artifacts, including almost all of the papers and books that told the real story about the Scarlet Crusade. He was killed by adventurers. Those who survived the encounter with him said that he was ashamed of what the Crusade had done.

Adventure Guide

Flameweaver Koegler trains the Scarlet Crusade's more magically minded adepts in the subtle applications of the arcane. Fire is his specialty, and he has used his skills to burn the order's historical tomes, erasing the Crusade's past failures. Apart from books, Koegler's flames have rendered many--undead, students, and trespassers alike--into piles of smoking ash.

Abilities

•  Book Burner — Flameweaver Koegler tries to light the books ablaze containing the Scarlet Crusade's past. Players may intercept the fiery bolt, which inflicts 487 to 512 Fire damage. If Koegler's attack successfully hits the books, they begin to burn.
  •  Burning Books — The Burning Books inflict 341 to 358 Fire damage every 5.20 sec to enemies within 15 for until cancelled.
•  Greater Dragon's Breath  — Koegler unleashes a sweeping series of attacks that mimic the deadly fire breath of a Dragon. The Breath inflicts 731 to 768 Fire damage, an additional 146 to 153 Fire damage every 1 sec., and confuses the target for 5 sec.
•  Quickened Mind  — Flameweaver Koegler casts this prepatory spell, making his next three spell's cast time nearly instant.
•  Firebolt Volley  — Flameweaver Koegler unleashes a barrage of fireballs, inflicting 390 to 412 Fire damage to all enemies within 35 yards. 2.5 sec cast
•  Pyroblast   — Flameweaver Koegler casts a huge Pyroblast at his current target, inflicting 439 to 461 Fire damage, then an additional 50 Fire damage every 2 sec. for 8 sec.

Strategy

This is a one-phase fight—the same spells will be used from full health to zero. Let the tank charge in to start the fight. Spread out to mitigate Firebolt Volleys. Interrupt Pyroblast blasts whenever he casts them, or the target will take a massive hit. Dispel the Perfect Presence of Mind off him so his Pyroblast casts are not nearly instant.

Book Burner needs to be intercepted by the tank, so only one person has to take the damage instead of the room. You will see a red beam on the floor towards where he's going to shoot. Just stand on the beam to intercept his fireball. He will teleport to the center of the room for Greater Dragon's Breath and then perform a full 360-degree sweep of the room with the spell. Stay ahead of him at all costs!
