He is the chief of the Sandfury tribe and ruler of their city, Zul'Farrak. He can be accessed by talking to Weegli Blastfuse or by starting the optional fight with Sergeant Bly.

When Mazoga betrayed the adventurer for Sul'thraze, Ukorz killed Mazoga. In turn, Mazoga's spirit asked the raiding adventurers to kill Ukorz.[3]

Background

Adventure Guide

Chief Ukorz Sandscalp is obsessed with restoring his tribe to its former glory. He was raised on stories of a time when trolls lorded over their ancient lands without interference from goblins, gnomes, pirates, ogres, and other foreign interlopers. Sandscalp has called on his trusted comrade Ruuzlu to help him begin a new chapter in Sandfury history in the only way their tribe knows how: with swift and blinding violence.

WoW-novel-logo-16x62.png This section concerns content related to the Warcraft novels, novellas, or short stories.

When Aramar Thorne and his group of friends were captured in Zul'Farrak by Zathra, intended to be sacrificed to the loa.[1] At the pyramid, Ukorz and the other sand trolls summoned the loa Kimbul, Shadra, and Mueh'zala with the blood of the prisoners that Ukorz had taken. He then witnessed Mueh'zala's speech to Aram about their reckoning coming at a different time. Ukorz and the other trolls just stood there, shocked at the vision. Afterward, Aramar and his friends just left the troll city.[4]

Speculation

Questionmark-medium.png
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.
  • Due to their names, the other known sand troll tribe, the Sandscalp tribe, may have been named after him.
  • Although Ukorz is an objective of N [15-30D] Chief Ukorz Sandscalp, he appears alive in Traveler: The Spiral Path. It could mean that the book's story occurs before the adventurers raided Zul'Farrak, or that it happens after and that Ukorz survived his encounter.
