Mogul Razdunk, also known as President Razdunk,[1] was the leader of the Venture Company.[3] He was an ambitious and ruthless goblin, seeking to stake his claim to the title of Trade-prince, he oversaw the Venture Company through expansion in Mulgore, Stranglethorn Vale, the Stonetalon Mountains, Grizzly Hills, Sholazar Basin and Kul Tiras. He ultimately met his end during the Fourth War in his Azerite operation in Kezan, the MOTHERLODE!!, after his actions in betraying the Horde and stealing from the Alliance caused both factions to make him a target.
Background
The earliest mentions of Mogul Razdunk are a few years after the Third War. In a letter addressed to Supervisor Fizsprocket of the Venture Co. Mine in Mulgore, Razdunk and the company's advisory board were encouraging Fizsprocket to expand Mulgore operations to lumber harvesting as well. The board was going to provide the supervisor with several of their newest model shredders and raw materials to construct a mill.[4]
Meanwhile in the Stonetalon Mountains, Razdunk had appointed Gerenzo Wrenchwhistle to oversee the massive lumbering operation that was happening in Windshear Crag. The trade princes did not approve of Razdunk's consorting with the leper gnome, and thus Director Riddlevox of the Tinkers' Union had asked one of his subordinates in Ratchet, Sputtervalve, to take care of the problem.[5]
Shortly before the invasion of Outland, Razdunk made a deal with the Sunfury to strip-mine the crashed Exodar and the crystal wreckage that had been scattered around Azuremyst Isle and Bloodmyst Isle.[6]
Battle for Azeroth
During the Fourth War, Mogul Razdunk struck a deal with Trade Prince Jastor Gallywix of the Bilgewater Cartel, who, despite his reservations, negotiated the agreement on behalf of Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner. The deal would have the Venture Co. refine Azerite for the Horde in its war against the Alliance.[7]
Around the same time, the Venture Company infiltrated the Dark Iron clan holdings in Blackrock Mountain, destroyed the Black Anvil, and absconded with the legendary hammer Ironfoe. The dwarves had been making progress refining Azerite by infusing magic into it using Ironfoe and the Black Anvil.[8] Razdunk later backed out of the deal with the Horde, and Gallywix sought revenge to get what they were owed.[7]
The isle of Kezan, rent asunder by the eruption of Mount Kajaro, was now brimming with Azerite in the aftermath of Sargeras' assault on Azeroth. Razdunk had started great dig sites in search of Azerite and had focused the Venture Company's efforts on weaponizing it and selling it to the highest bidder. Seeking to stake his claim to the title of Trade Prince, Razdunk was certain that becoming the world's foremost Azerite baron would bring him fame and fortune beyond his station and allow him to ascend to the position he had never been able to achieve.[9][10]
However, his actions in betraying the Horde and stealing from the Alliance caused champions from both factions to turn their ire upon him, though it was the Alliance that got to him first. Moira Thaurissan directed the Dark Irons to find Razdunk in Kezan and infiltrate Crapopolis. In the seat of the Venture Company, Moira’s Dark Iron champions swiftly dealt with Razdunk and recovered the legendary weapon.[11][8]
In the RPG
Mogul Razdunk, a steam warrior, is the founder and ruler of the Venture Company.[12]
A large suit of steam armor looms threateningly, its mithril construction speaking of sharpness and speed rather than elegance. A long, mithril-and-wood rifle, its barrel the size of a human head, replaces its left arm. Its right hand is a huge, distorted claw-fist, and above it on the arm sits a perforated iron nozzle projecting from a dragon’s mouth. Arcing over the contraption’s back, like spider legs, are two spindly arms. One ends in a pair of scissor-like blades, while the other ends in a circular saw that whines as it spins. The pilot, a goblin with a mad grin, is visible through a rectangular window in the thing’s front. The goblin’s hands dart among a bewildering array of levers, buttons, and hanging chains.
Razdunk’s steam armor is legendary on Kezan, and he prefers to intimidate and threaten his opponents into submission rather than actually attack them. When forced into combat, Razdunk begins by using his arcitech connection ability to imbue frost nova into his long rifle (opening a small hatch in the armor’s side to touch the weapon), then blasts away with it. After this tactic, he takes great joy in all of his armor’s weapons, flailing away with rifle, dragon mouth, steam fist, and slicers. If Razdunk is having problems hitting his opponents, he calms down enough to make single attacks with his steam fist. If the battle looks grim, he attempts to escape with the help of invisibility.
Razdunk's familiar is a toad named Bernard.[13]
