Background

Battle for Azeroth

Torga's corpse at Torga's Rest.

During the Fourth War in 33 ADP, Torga was killed by the blood trolls in Nazmir. They then consumed his flesh,[2] and used his blood to raise undead[3] and to summon Jungo, Herald of G'huun.[4] The location where his corpse now lays is known as Torga's Rest.

The Loa of Death Bwonsamdi later summoned the Spirit of Torga to speak with him.[5][6] Torga was later reincarnated as a young turtle and now sits atop the head of the tortollan Lashk.[7] After Lashk became a member of the Zanchuli Council, Torga was seen in the Hall of Chroniclers of the Great Seal in Dazar'alor.

The War Within

The War Within This section concerns content related to The War Within.

During the Bronze Celebration in 42 ADP, Torga could be seen outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, along with Lashk.

Tales of the Loa

Through de blue Torga do glide.
Oceans deep and journeys wide.
De one who strives, de one who seeks,
Make his heart be full, his interest piqued.

Dere be no legend told,
Dat Torga will not know.
To listen is his pleasure,
To hear your tale, his treasure.

And if to you he tells his story,
Dat may be your highest glory.
Torga will remember.
Torga is eternal.[8]

Notes and trivia

  • Torga is the second largest known turtle (or was, in his first incarnation), after Shen-zin Su.
  • Torga's Rest uses a modified Shen-zin Su model.
  • Torga's name is similar to Zim'Torga, which is the name of a goddess worshiped by the Drakkari.[9]
  • Shogo is a tortollan worshipper of Torga located in the Hall of the Lesser Loa in Dazar'alor.
  • In Hearthstone, he appears as a legendary neutral minion in The Lost City of Un'Goro expansion. His flavor text reads: "Torga was killed, eaten, used to summon the undead and then used as a loudspeaker for spirits. But at least he's got a hell of a story to tell."
