Mount Journal

  • Alliance Ancient manuscripts depict merchants traveling across the frozen tundra with these colossal beasts, leading scholars to believe they are the first domesticated mounts.
  • Horde Riders and merchants alike trust only this strong and steadfast mammoth to carry them safely across the frigid tundra.

Notes and trivia

  • The included NPCs are Alliance Gnimo or Horde Drix Blackwrench (repairer/trade goods vendor) and Alliance Hakmud of Argus or Horde Mojodishu (general goods vendor).
  • The NPCs have dialogue when they're dismounted from the mammoth—mostly complaining at the player for leaving them behind. Hakmud's dialogue changes when on Argus.
  • This was the first vendor mount added to the game.
  • During the Wrath of the Lich King beta, this item's name was Reins of the Grand Caravan Mammoth.
