History
World of Warcraft
At some point after the fall of Stromgarde, the manor fell under the control of the Syndicate who used it as an outpost in Arathi Highlands.
When the troll shaman Tor'gan felt a strangeness in the air, he set off to find the source of his unease and discovered the residual traces of demonic summoning at Northfold Manor. As he got close, his blood began to boil and the rage within him grew. On the ground, he spied an amulet of bloodstone, used to assist in demonic summoning. The one he found was depleted, however, so he sent Horde adventurers to find other ones to examine, in order to ascertain the true intentions of the Syndicate beyond their obvious association with dark, demonic magic.[1]
Cataclysm
Following the Cataclysm, both factions sought to take control of the ruined farm. At Galen's Fall, Dark Ranger Alina ordered Horde adventurers to claim it in the name of the Forsaken, but also to bring back the Bloodstone Amulets they wore as proof of their conquest.[2] In Refuge Pointe, Captain Nials tasked Alliance adventurers to reclaim the land before the Horde had a chance to creep further, as the last thing they needed was a gang of common thieves distracting them from reconquering their fallen kingdom.[3]
Battle for Azeroth
By the time of the Fourth War, while the Alliance was rebuilding Stromgarde Keep, the Horde was quick to take Northfold Manor, and turned the abandoned farm into a new fortress named Ar'gorok.[4]
