Tor'gan is a jungle troll quest giver located in Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands.

Background

A shaman of the Darkspear tribe, Tor'gan was among the Horde expedition that resettled Hammerfall. There, Tor'gan took sympathy for the lethargic and morose orc Gor'mul.[2] Tor'gan thought of cheering him up by displaying him the Horde's newly-found shamanistic magic. Gor'mul was dismissive at first, but when the guile of the raptor was blessed upon him he realized the power now held by his brethren. Convinced, Gor'mul accepted to talk to the shaman.[3]

When Tor'gan felt a strangeness in the air, he set off to find the source of his unease and discovered the residual traces of demonic summoning at Northfold Manor. As he got close, his blood began to boil and the rage within him grew. On the ground, he spied an amulet of bloodstone, used to assist in demonic summoning. The one he found was depleted, however, so he sent Horde adventurers to find another one to examine.[4] He then sent the adventurers against the warlocks of the Syndicate.[5] He also assisted Zengu in reconstructing the  [Sigil of Thoradin] that would help access Trol'kalar.[1]

Before Tor'gan left the camp, he taught Gor'mul how to form the guile of the raptor to help out his brethren in Hammerfall. Now the orc provides for all there, crafting the same boons that gave him newfound strength.[6][7]

Thanks to the Warchief, even here in the ruins of our former prison, some hope remains, and the Horde rises anew.

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.
  • He mentioned that "once-cursed blood still runs through my veins" and "our former prison", indicating that Blizzard may have meant to make him an orc.
  • It is possible that Tor'gan joined Zengu when he tried to leave Arathi with Trol'kalar and was subsequently assassinated by Stromgarde troops along with Zengu.
