Cows are level 1 mobs that can be found in Elwynn Forest, Stormwind City, Redridge Mountains, and the Arathi Highlands. They generally stay in or near human farms.

Patch changes
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now classified as beasts instead of critters. 
Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Can no longer be skinned.
