Alandien is a demon hunter at the Ruins of Karabor in Shadowmoon Valley. She is one of the three night elf demon hunters in charge of training new recruits, and was also a mentor of Varedis until he surpassed her abilities. Alandien teaches demon hunter recruits about infiltration. She remarks in her battle against Azaloth she was trained by Illidan himself. She was the first known female demon hunter in-game.

Her fellow demon hunter Kayn Sunfury mourns her passing, and holds Altruis the Sufferer responsible for her death.

Abilities

•  Mana Burn — Hits an enemy with an anti-mana bolt. For each point of mana consumed by the bolt, the target takes 0.5 damage.
•  Metamorphosis — Turns into a demon at 49%.
•  Shadowfury — Shadowfury is unleashed, causing 206 to 244 Shadow damage and stunning all enemies within 10 yds for until cancelled.
