The Ashtongue tribe, also known later as the Ashtongue Brotherhood,[1] is a tribe of Broken draenei feared among all Broken. In Warcraft III, Akama's tribe had the appearance of Lost Ones. It consists of the most vicious and bloodthirsty individuals, handpicked by Akama himself.[2][3] Akama relays his orders through Oronu the Elder.[4] These orders include looting the Ruins of Baa'ri[5] and further corrupting the environment of Shadowmoon Valley.[6]

- Main article: Ashtongue Deathsworn
The Ashtongue Deathsworn are a subdivision of the Ashtongue tribe, ostensibly the vilest and most brutal of the tribe.[7] In actuality, the evil members of the Ashtongue are amongst the most evil Broken known, but only as a front to maintain the facade that the Deathsworn need to present to Illidan. The Deathsworn know of Akama's true intentions.[8]
Fate
While the evil members are presumably slaughtered, Akama frees several non-Deathsworn members of the tribe from Illidan's control after the Shade of Akama is killed. They take over the central platform of the Sanctuary of Shadows.
When a warlock adventurer infiltrates Black Temple to hunt down the Council of the Black Harvest, Ashtongue workers can be seen working on the broken siege engines in the large courtyard that once housed Supremus. It is unclear if the Broken are dismantling or repairing the machines.
Akama tells the warlock that though they are working on it, it will be many years before the Temple is restored from the destruction of Magtheridon and Illidan.
The broken draenei now refers to themselves as the Ashtongue Brotherhood.[9]
A group of Ashtongue were summoned to Mardum during the events of The Burning Crusade to help Illidan's elite demon hunters procure the [Sargerite Keystone]. Remaining on Mardum afterwards, they were never made aware of Akama's rebellion and remain loyal to the Illidari aboard The Fel Hammer. Akama himself later rejoins the Illidari.[10]
