The Coilfang tribe[1] is a tribe of naga. They are based in all parts of Coilfang Reservoir except the Underbog, where the Wrathfins have their holdings. Their presence threatens the draenei, trolls, and Cenarion Expedition that have carved out holdings in the area. The Coilfangs were led directly by their great matron, Lady Vashj.

The Coilfang ranks include willing Broken and hired leper gnomes.

The Greyheart tribe of the Broken also fights alongside them.

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.
  • Since High Warlord Naj'entus was a champion of Lady Vashj,[2] he and the Coilskar tribe may originally belonged to the Coilfang tribe.
  • While in The Frozen Throne the naga were organized in the organization called Illidan's Naga (and several subgroups), no mention of it is present in World of Warcraft or the Illidan novel and instead, the naga are divided into several tribes. As the Coilfang tribe is the tribe of Lady Vashj, it is possible that the Coilfangs were the naga of the Illidan's Naga.
