The Illidari are known to build demon wards[1] to defend their footholds. They can be used as both anti-air defense and anti-bombardment defense. They could be seen shooting down both doomguard and devastator projectiles during the assault on Mardum.
Jace Darkweaver is a known crafter of the wards.[2][1]
