Berserkers are a bloodthirsty sect of Trolls dedicated to the total annihilation of their hated enemies, the Elves. Suffering numerous experiments with strange chemicals and potions by the Goblin Alchemists, the Berserkers have had many strange abilities bestowed upon them that make them all but unstoppable in the heat of battle. Berserkers are hardier and stronger than most Trolls, effectively transforming them into a veritable whirling cyclone of death and destruction.[1]
Information
- Berserkers are upgraded Troll Axethrowers, with a slightly increased sight radius and more Hit Points, while additional upgrades allow them to further increase their sight radius and range, and to slowly recover lost Hit Points over time.
- They generally play the same roles as Axethrowers, though fully-upgraded Berserkers can also be effective offensively in the hands of a skilled player.
- The Lighter Axes upgrade allows Berserkers to out-range Elven Destroyers and thus discourage them from bombarding your shores.
- Fully-upgraded Berserkers are generally inferior to Elven Rangers. They can compensate by having Ogre-Magi cast Bloodlust on them, but this requires far more micromanagement.
- The Regeneration upgrade is usually considered a luxury upgrade because it takes a long time for a badly-wounded Berserker to fully recover his Hit Points, and because, obviously, it is only useful to those Berserkers who actually survive a battle. Generally speaking, it should only be researched if you plan on producing large numbers of Berserkers.
