The Scale of the Sands is a secretive subgroup of the bronze dragonflight, led by Soridormi, prime mate of Nozdormu.

Until patch 2.4, a friendly reputation with the faction was required to enter the Battle of Mount Hyjal.

Note: Mobs will not give rep until first wave has been cleared or if previous boss was cleared within the soft reset time; this was implemented by Blizzard to prevent reputation grinding by small groups.

You get each ring as a quest reward from Soridormi. You get the first from her at friendly after completing  [30R] The Vials of Eternity, and you turn in your old one for a new one at each reputation level.

Indormi sells the jewelcrafting designs.

Indormi will also sell jewelcrafting designs as you advance in Scale of the Sands reputation. Note that copies of these designs are also offered by Shattered Sun Offensive vendors. It is easier for individuals and small groups to gain reputation with The Shattered Sun Offensive, but the designs are significantly more costly.
