Reins of the Spectral Tiger teach the Spectral Tiger mount. This item is obtained by redeeming the code from a loot card version of the Spectral Tiger TCG card. When a Spectral Tiger code is redeemed, both the Reins of the Spectral Tiger and the 
[Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger] will appear in your inventory.

Trivia
- This mount has been made purchasable for use on Chinese Classic realms a couple of times:
- From 26 January to 28 February 2022, China-region players could obtain a Spectral Tiger for Classic progression realms as part of the Year of the Tiger Spectral Tiger Bundle.[1]
- In October 2024, a new [Skybound Spectral Tiger] mount was released for Chinese Classic progression realms. Purchasing it also grants a regular Spectral Tiger for use on progression realms, and unlocks the ability to purchase a Spectral Tiger for 1,500
from Lelanai on Chinese Classic Era and Classic Season of Discovery realms.[2][3]
- The model difference between the swift and this mount is that the swift mount includes armor for the knees and tail.
Patch changes
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now requires level 10 (was 20). 
Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04):
- Now requires level 20 (was 30).
- Now appears in the player's inventory on code redeem; previously, the code unlocked access to purchase it and the [Swift Spectral Tiger] from Landro Longshot for 10 and 100 respectively.
- Newly-acquired tigers will be Bind on Use rather than Bind on Pickup.
Patch 2.4.3 (2008-07-15): Now requires level 30 (was 40). - Patch 2.2.0 (2007-09-25): Model updated.
