Fossilized Raptor is a rare archaeology artifact that requires 150 skill to find and 100 Fossil Archaeology Fragments to solve.
This artifact is the first of two ground mounts obtainable through Archaeology, the other being the 
[Scepter of Azj'Aqir].
Mount Journal
Legends tell of a spell placed upon a hunting raptor who dared to snarl at young Tyrande Whisperwind as she bathed in a jungle pool. The beast is cursed to wander Azeroth - until it apologizes.
History
Unsolved
There is something unsual[sic] about these raptor bones. Whenever you look away, they seem to move slightly on their own.
Solved
When you finished assembling this skeleton through some eldritch magic, the creature sprang back to life.
Trivia
- The mount's backstory is similar to the Greek myth of Actaeon, a man who was cursed as punishment for accidentally seeing the goddess Artemis while she was bathing.
