The World of Warcraft Standard Edition was the retail box of the game released on 24 November 2004. In Europe, more than 620,000 copies were sold since the game's launch on 11 February 2005 which resulted in 250,000 additional box copies to be available in retail on 15 April 2005 with the new Guest Pass that provided a 10-day free trial for friends.[1]
