Troll golems are golems made by various troll tribes. So far, jungle, ice, and Zandalari trolls have included golems in their arsenal. They can be powered in different ways. Some are powered by mojo,[1] some by voodoo and mojo,[2] and others by troll spirits.[3][4][5] A few have even been powered by channeling the powers of the loa into them.[6] Zandalari retrieve the spirits within golems through "Soulcatcher Totems".[7]
The Zandalari do not tolerate weakness in their ranks, those that are deemed weak are often sacrificed in barbaric ceremonies. The victims' spirits are captured and entombed within the golems. Though those who volunteer to be bound to these stone constructs treat it as a great honor.[8][9]
The Drakkari Empire was known for liberal use of their golems to defend their territories, with guardians patrolling through the entirety of Zul'Drak; namely near Gundrak. The Zandalari Empire has also used extremely liberal amounts of golems, with them being used by the Zandalari Invaders, acting as city guards within Dazar'alor, being used to take care of their dead in Atal'Dazar[10], and being used to keep the peace within the Terrace of the Speakers. Finally, the Darkspear tribe have also shown their usage of the constructs during the Battle for Stromgarde, where Darkspear Trollems could be seen when Rokhan commanded the field.

Trivia
- In Mists of Pandaria, two models of the Zandalari golem were added: "zandalarigolem" as well as "zandalarigolemboss".
- The file name for the Drakkari golem is "zuldrakgolem".
- In Battle for Azeroth, new models based off of their Isle of Thunder appearances could be seen for the Zandalari golems, having updated textures and more fluid animations. Their old version was still later used in the same expansion for the Darkspear Trollem, which can also spawn using a near unique version of the Drakkari golem.
- The Drakkari golem version is a gold coloration of the golem that was not used until Legion, where it was used for the golem, King Blastakhan. Notably, this golem is also owned by a jungle troll.

According to Tol'mar, he's never seen anything like the Drakkari Colossus, which is reportedly the first construct made from animating a golem with mojo. It is possible that the nature of the colossus was new to Tol'mar since it was made from the mojo of sacrificed Loa.[11]
