Death elementals[1] are classified as elementals, undead or aberrations.

Deathwalkers in Maldraxxus are formed from necromantic energies left from the battles in the Iron Trench that have coalesced into chaotic entities.[2] They can typically be bent to the service of the House of Rituals, but will dissipate over time.[3]

Following the death of Zovaal the Jailer, some deathwalkers recognized the role that mortal heroes have played to save the Shadowlands and were willing to serve as mounts.[4]
