Stellagosa is a blue drake typically wearing the guise of a blue-haired, blue-eyed high elf. She is shown to be very knowledgeable about ley lines and other topics of magical research. She is the granddaughter of Senegos and after his passing, she became the leader of the Azurewing, the Azsunan brood of the blue dragonflight.
Biography
Legion
Azsuna
During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Stellagosa was first seen in Faronaar in Azsuna, having been captured by Overseer Lykill of the Burning Legion. Working alongside Kor'vas Bloodthorn, the Order Hall leaders freed her,[1] and in return, she helped her saviors in slaying the traitorous felsworn Cyana Nightglaive. After flying them back to the Illidari Stand, she asked if they could help her grandfather.[2]
The adventurers and Archmage Khadgar later arrived at the Azurewing Repose, finding Stellagosa's grandfather, Senegos, in a very bad condition.[3] Since his mana pools no longer sustained him, the adventurer helped find mana crystals to stabilize his condition, and he told them the fate of the Tidestone of Golganneth in return.[4] However, Agapanthus relayed that the Nightfallen exiles were attacking the Azurewing's baby whelps and Stellagosa asked for the adventurer's help in saving them. On the way, she found the corpses of her dead little brothers and sisters, mourning them.[5] After battling the nightfallen, Stellagosa felt drained from their mana-consuming powers and needed to retreat after sending the adventurer after Runas the Shamed.[6]
After Runas, Senegos, and the adventurer destroyed the mana siphons depleting Senegos' mana pools and angered Ael'Yith, she carried the adventurer back to Azurewing Repose, horrified that a massive horde of nightfallen was descending upon her brothers and sisters.[7] She kept the whelplings safe while the adventurer and Khadgar dealt with the nightfallen.[8]
Suramar
During the Nightfallen rebellion, Arcanist Valtrois shared that they needed to redirect some of the leylines in Azsuna to help the Arcan'dor flourish with enough fruit to feed her people. She traveled with the Nightfallen's champion to Azsuna, where they were confronted by Stellagosa. Initially suspicious, she is convinced to help the Nightfallen with her vast knowledge of ley lines. Through talks of magic and exchanges of witty banter, the two women overcome their animosity and become friends.[9]
As Valtrois was too tired to teleport back to Shal'Aran, Stellagosa transformed and flew her companions back. Valtrois stayed with Stellagosa a while longer as they flew away together, asking Stella more questions about leylines.[10]
Dragonflight
A few years later, Kalecgos called the blue dragonflight to the Azure Span on the Dragon Isles, hoping to restore their disbanded flight.[11] Senegos led a group, including Emmigosa and Stellagosa, that arrived just in time to save Kalec and the adventurer from Raszageth.[12] Stellagosa was later present as Kalec reactivated the Azure Oathstone and declared their flight renewed.[13]
After Kalecgos and Alexstrasza had decided the time to come to put the essences of Malygos and Sindragosa to rest at the Veiled Ossuary, Senegos and Stellagosa traveled there to clean the place as it had dissolved into a mess.[14] Stellagosa was fascinated by the Veiled Ossuary as her grandfather had told her stories about the place.[15] After Kalec and Alexstrasza arrived to put and put the pair to rest, only to cause their memories to reanimate.[16][17] The two aspects subsequently departed from the area, leaving the task of dealing with the memories to Senegos and Stellagosa.[18] After the memories were dispelled, the pair returned to Kalec at the Azure Archives, where more of the flight had arrived in their absence.[19]
In time, the blue dragonflight working one used the arcane energy within the Azure Archives to break the loop of death that Malygos and Sindragosa had found themselves trapped in. After Malygos and Sindragosa were properly soothed and released from their torment, Stellagosa and the rest of the blue dragonflight witnessed them departing to the afterlife.[20] In the aftermath, Senegos remarked that his heart was brightened to see everyone reunited, that Malygos and Sindragosa were at peace, and then revealed that the time had come for him to pass on as well, as he held on for long in order to see his kin united and not in disarray. When Stellagosa protested his passing, Senegos declared that a life as his should be celebrated and not mourned. He further declared that Azurewing were hers to lead now, and that as he longed as she carried his lessons close to heart, she would never be far from him. Following this, he ascended to the power nexus at the center of the archives as his body dissipated, leaving only sparks behind.[21] Following his passing, Stellagosa and Emmigosa added his death to the Faded Gravestone at the Veiled Ossuary.
Sometime later, Stellagosa sent adventures the [Inherited Wisdom of Senegos] that he had created for them before his passing.
She was amongst those who entered the Emerald Dream and helped Alexstrasza defend Amirdrassil from Fyrakk the Blazing. In the battle before the Temple Wellspring, she fought alongside Kalecgos and Tyrygosa against Fyrakk's forces at the Furnace Coil, bombarding her enemies with arcane magic.[22] Then, she joined the other heroes in attacking the Prophet of the Flame.[23]
She also attended the gathering at Amirdrassil when it bloomed on the Dragon Isles after Fyrakk's death.
The War Within
Stellagosa spent time exploring the world with Arcanist Valtrois, acting as her guide, and had gotten close to her.[24] The two could be seen together outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris during the Bronze Celebration.

It's fascinating to be standing in this place. I've heard so many stories about this area from Grandfather.
Suffusion Camp: Frostburn
The magic practiced by these Primalists is disruptive, destructive, and absolutely unkempt. I know they include that in their names but I never imagined their abuse of magic would be so... offensive.
And do not get me started on the djaradin. Their suffusion techniques might be powerful but the cost will scar this world for a long time if they are able to continue.

- Greetings
- Can you help my grandfather?
- Azsuna was once the center of magic research.
- I fear that grandfather doesn't have much time left...
- There's old, and then there's Senegos.
- Pissed
- (Eagerly) Oh, are we going to play a game?
- Tag, you're it! No tag backs!
- Ouch! That hurt!
- Just remember: I can fly, and you can't.
- Ugh, annoying mortals... don't you ever run out of energy?
- Farewell
- I'm glad you're here. I can tell you'll help.
- No matter how long we live, it doesn't seem long enough...
- How strange it is to have visitors after so much time...

- Gossip
It is a special kind of magic at work here.
Are you talking about the time magic?
Not just that. The history, the memories. If you think about it, memories are incredibly powerful. We summon those far away, or even who have left this world and experience them again. They carry you to far off places, they...
Sorry, I am rambling.
We all get lost in memories sometimes.
I have come to terms with the death of Senegos, and I look to the future.
I think sometimes I need to remember, and feel sad, just for a little. Just to know what is missing now.

- Arcanist Valtrois says: Thank you ever so much for bringing me here, darling.
- Stellagosa says: If you are not enjoying yourself, there is no need to pretend on my behalf.
- Arcanist Valtrois says: I... No, I was being sincere. I AM enjoying myself.
- Arcanist Valtrois says: So long as you're here, that is.
- Stellagosa says: Oh, uh. Of course. I shall endeavor not to leave your side.
- Arcanist Valtrois says: Excellent. Besides, I'm the best conversation you'll find around here.
After completing [70] A Peaceful Farewell, the adventurer receives the following mail.
Subject: A Memento
My friend,
I want to thank you for helping ensure that Grandfather's final days were full of adventure. It meant as much to me as it did to him.
Grandfather left behind some trinkets--apparently he had intended to give this to you several years ago as a token for your help in Azsuna, but never had the opportunity to do so. You should know that he spoke of you often, fondly, and held you in high regard.
I know he would appreciate this making its way to you at last. It is... well, it is certainly his sense of humor! Grandfather loved to bring joy to others and loved to laugh. Hopefully this helps you do the same.
Stellagosa
The mail includes [Inherited Wisdom of Senegos].
Notes and trivia
- Stellagosa, and presumably the rest of the blue dragonflight, are capable of seeing the ley lines when they are underground.[25]
- Senegos sometimes refers to her as Stella (itself Latin for "star"), but his affectionate nickname for her is "starlight".[26]
- During [10-45] The Last of the Last, she claims the brood of the Azurewing are "my whelplings," yet both she and Senegos refer to them as her brothers and sisters. Hence, it is likely she is not the mother and simply sees herself as the protector of the brood.
- She is potentially named after a deceased dragon named Stelagos.
- Stellagosa is voiced by Misty Lee.
