The Ruins of Dojan are a mogu ruin located in central Krasarang Wilds off the west bank of the Dojani River, named after the ruins. The Pools of Youth can be found at the ruins' northwestern extent.

History

The ruins were originally a city and may have been the site of the infamous "Dojani Dungeons", built by the brutal Emperor Dojan II during his genocide of the saurok.[1] He oversaw all of this from the top of a cliff in the Valley of the Four Winds overlooking Krasarang, until the saurok scaled the cliffs and flung him to his death. What he'd built quickly fell to ruin after his death.[2]

The ruins guard the nearby Pools of Youth,[3] the magical pools the mogu used to extend their lifespans where drinking takes one life and passes it on to another.[2]

Exploring Azeroth

Following the awakening of the Dragon Isles, Chen Stormstout, Li Li Stormstout, and Catelyn the Blade visited the Ruins of Dojan after the Sentinel Basecamp. Li Li remarked that it was a place of bad memories for Krasarang, and that it was best that the pools near it were mostly forgotten.[2]

Notes

  • The book The Lost Dynasty refers to the ruins as potentially being the "Dojanni Dungeons", while the newer Exploring Azeroth: Pandaria book uses "Dojani Dungeons". It is unclear if the latter is a spelling typo or change in canonical naming.
