Anglers Wharf can be found off the southern coast of the Krasarang Wilds, south of the Incursion and immediately to the southwest of the Narsong Trench nestled between the Narsong Spires. It is home to the faction The Anglers.

It would be the southernmost port of Pandaria, if it weren't for Marista's Bait & Brew just a bit southwest across the water. The Anglers Wharf is a lot older than Marista, though.[1]

History

The Anglers — the society of fishermen who built and still care for it — are proud of their history in this place, stretching back eight hundred years before the First War. The watertight bamboo houses on stilts that make up the wharf are made to be rebuilt every time the sea sees fit to take them.

Anglers Wharf was also where Liu Lang first thought to find a boat to leave Pandaria and go exploring, though the Anglers had to remind him that no boat could ever return to Pandaria through the mists—so if he wanted to come back, he had to find another way.[1]

Exploring Azeroth

Following the awakening of the Dragon Isles, Catelyn the Blade's new ship, Shirvallah's Laughter, remained docked here for repairs after suffering damage during its sea voyage. After having written to Chen Stormstout and Li Li Stormstout about her situation she was met by them and promptly invited to be shown the whole of their land, with the idea that introducing their home to someone else would let them see Pandaria with new eyes as well.[1]

Trivia

  • During the beta, the area was named Angler's Outpost and Angler's Wharf.
    • The latter's spelling is still used in some cases.[2][3][4][5]
