Nozzlerust Post is a trading post north of Galakrond's Rest, near the Crystal Vice in the Dragonblight. The goblins there are exploiting the surrounding land to supply weapons, materials, and food to the Alliance and Horde armies.

History

Nozzlerust Post was established during the War against the Lich King by a group of goblins profiting from the war effort by supplying both the Horde and Alliance with weapons, materials, and food. Adventurers first arrived at the post after finding the remains of a dead Nozzlerust Supply Runner who had been trying to deliver a pack of explosives to the Wrathgate but was killed by harpies en route. They returned the explosives to Xink at Nozzlerust Post.[1] Xink asked adventurers to assist with the camp's numerous issues. He had them collect bundles of  [Composite Ore] from the digs around Galakrond's Rest to sell to the Horde,[2] while Narf asked them to kill undead in the area that were interfering with their work.[3]

Another member of the camp, Zivlix sought help gathering materials for her machine to sell to "commander types." To make shrapnel bombs for the machine, she requested Ice Shard Clusters from Crystalline Ice Elementals in Coldwind Heights to use as the shrapnels,[4] and Thin Animal Hides from Jormungar Tunnelers or Dragonbone Condors near the post for packaging.[5] When the ice shards proved ineffective, Zivlix had adventurers collect Splintered Bone Chunks from dragon bones east of the post instead.[6] Meanwhile, Xink tasked them with using explosives on a Hulking Jormungar to gather  [Seared Jormungar Meat], which he planned to sell as food supplies.[7]

When the bombs were ready, Zivlix attempted to test them on the harpies in Coldwind Heights but was shot down by the Mistress of the Coldwind, who warned the goblins to stay away. Furious, Zivlix ordered adventurers to kill the Mistress and the harpies that had been attacking their shipments.[8] Xink, meanwhile, gave them  [Xink's Shredder Control Device] to gather lumber from the harpy-inhabited trees in Coldwind Heights, which he intended to sell to the Alliance.[9]

With most problems in the camp resolved, Narf sent adventurers to find his brother Zort in the Crystal Vice, where he was trying to recruit Crystalline Ice Giants as protection for the goblins.[10] Zort explained that the giants, led by Ko'char the Unbreakable, were preoccupied with jormungar attacks from a nearby cavern. Puzzled at how the worms were easily killing the giants, he tasked adventurers with collecting samples of rockflesh from a Ravaged Crystalline Ice Giant to study.[11] Zort then had them gather vials of corrosive spit from the jormungar using  [Zort's Scraper] to create a protective elixir for the giants.[12] However, Ko'char refused the potion, mistrusting the goblins.[13]

Abandoning the attempt to recruit the giants, Zort instructed adventurers to trap three jormungar spawns in crates and bring them back to him, hoping to tame them for future use. He declared that, once grown, he might "bring them back and introduce them to the giants personally."[14]
