The Druids of the Claw are a clan[1] of druids charged with the protection of Val'sharah from any that would seek to disrupt the balance of nature.[2] A number of them participated in the Third War and some are found working with their people or fellow druids. The Val'sharah druids are led by Koda Steelclaw, though some answer to Lea Stonepaw. They consider Ursoc their patron.[3] While primarily associated with [Bear Form] and the Guardian specialization, Druids of the Claw are also seen to take [Cat Form], such as Gaivan Shadewalker in Ashenvale and the druids on the Broken Shore.
Druids of the Claw are masters of their mighty animal forms. When they transform into cats or bears, they become ferocious physical combatants and protectors of the wild.[4]

Legion
During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, the Druids of the Claw joined the Dreamgrove. They later traveled to Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore along the Armies of Legionfall.
Battle for Azeroth
A faction of the Druids of the Claw was found in Darnassus during the War of the Thorns, led by Janthes Shadeleaf, an Archdruid of the Claw at the Cenarion Enclave. He rallied the ancients, treants, and dryads to the night elves' aid during the conflict, in an attempt to preserve the World Tree Teldrassil.[7] Other Druids of the Claw fought in Darkshore for the rest of the conflict. After the Burning of Teldrassil, some surviving Druids of the Claw successfully infiltrated the Undercity and fought with the Forsaken during the Battle for Lordaeron.[8]
Dragonflight
During the war against the Primalists, the Druids of the Claw traveled to the Emerald Dream to fight the Druids of the Flame.[9] After Amirdrassil bloomed on Azeroth, Koda Steelclaw attended the gathering. Afterward, some Druids of the Claw, including Lea Stonepaw, moved there and could be found at various spots across the island.
The War Within
Following the destruction of Dalaran, the Druids of the Claw were part of the Alliance forces that sailed to the Isle of Dorn to aid in the war against Xal'atath.[10] The druids were amongst the forces that arrived to aid the Arathi when the nerubians launched an all-out assault on Hallowfall.[11]

In the RPG
A druid of the claw is class of druid. They were invaluable during the Third War. Their totem is the bear, and they use the bear's strength and resilience to ravage their enemies in close combat. Perhaps more than any other druid, Druids of the claw focus on combat prowess, preferring raw strength and staying power to stealth and subtlety.[12]
Druids of the claw take on the form of bears and wander the wilderness on a never-ending pilgrimage dedicated to the ursine Eternals. Though the destruction of the ancient Kaldorei homeland destroyed much of the land traveled by the twins, those who worship them have never given up their search for any of Ursoc's "alewells" and Ursol's carvings that may have survived to the present day.[13]
