The Emerald Circle are a largely autonomous branch of the Cenarion Circle working specifically to undo the corruption in Felwood. They are stationed at the Emerald Sanctuary in southern Felwood.
Background
World of Warcraft
In Year 25 ADP, at the request of Greta Mosshoof, the adventurers were tasked to prove themselves by culling the ranks of the Shadow Council in Jaedenar.[1] After they extinguished the protective barriers surrounding the hold,[2] using moonwell waters[3] purified by the shaman Islen Waterseer,[4] the heroes were tasked to enter the hold and kill Shadow Lord Fel'dan, along with his succubus Moora and Salia, in order to cut "the head of the serpent". Without their leader, the druids expected that the Shadow Council would lose focus and start infighting, struggling with one another for control and hoarding assets for future plans; which would be an opportune time for them to devastate the cultists and their demon slaves.[5]

After the Cataclysm in 28 ADP, the Emerald Circle expanded to Whisperwind Grove in northern Felwood, which they managed to purify from corruption and used as their main base of operations. It has also been infiltrated by several demonic imposters, including the leader Archdruid Navarax and the druids at Jadefire Run.
After dousing the four braziers of protection within Shadow Hold, Greta Mosshoof hoped that the druids of the Emerald Circle could enter the Hold and clear out the last of the cultists, and, in time, use it as the barrow den it once was.[6]
The druids of the Emerald Circle manipulated the fel energy within the 
[Impeccable Fel Essence] stone to enhance their attunement with the wild.
