The Reins of the Black War Mammoth can be purchased for 15 
from 
Knight Dameron or 
Stone Guard Mukar in Wintergrasp. Each vendor is only available while their respective faction controls the area.
Obtaining this mount awards the 
[Black War Mammoth] achievement.
Mount Journal
Normally placid beasts, these intelligent animals form a strong bond with their riders, making them loyal and fearless in battle.
Sure-footed and unflappable, these dark-furred mammoths are prized for their steady temperament going into battle.

- This mount is very similar in design to the [Reins of the Grand Black War Mammoth].
