Serinar is a black dragon located in the Maw of Neltharion in Dragonblight. A Burning Depths Necrolyte lies dead on the ground to his side. He has apparently played a part in destroying entire civilizations, and refers to the player as an "effective tool." Adventurers are sent to aid him in defending the Obsidian Dragonshrine. For a member of the black dragonflight he is rather friendly, expressing gratitude towards the player after they have succeeded in protecting the shrine. He is fighting against the Cult of the Damned.

After the death of Deathwing, Wrathion says that to his knowledge he is the only black dragon remaining. Most likely, Wrathion was not aware of Serinar's existence as the devs have stated that "it is possible that some black dragons on Azeroth have managed to evade Wrathion's detection". So far, he has not been seen in Dragonflight. It is unknown where he is and if he is corrupted. His uncertain status is similar to that of Seldarria.
