Pit of Narjun
The Pit of Narjun[26.1, 49.7] is a large sinkhole in western Dragonblight. It is located just south of the derelict taunka capital of Icemist Village. This gaping hole in the land served as the point of entry for the Anub'ar forces of undead nerubians when they invaded and took over Icemist Village.
Inside, the pit is filled with the Black Blood of Yogg-Saron, while High Cultist Zangus and many Anub'ar Underlords can be found here. It is also the home to the only known still living nerubians: Kilix the Unraveler and his Azjol-anak Battleguards.
The pit is only one of the multiple entrances to both Azjol-Nerub and Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom, a massive network of caves and tunnels which extends under half of Northrend.[1]

Notes and trivia
- Based on the holes in the wall, this sinkhole may be the nexus of the tunnels that the undead nerubians use to attack various places in Northrend.
- A waterfall effect that fits into the pit was removed at some point early on in development.
- The name of this sinkhole may be a reference to the Great Pit of Carkoon in the Star Wars Universe.
