- The Voidwalker consumes nearby shadows to bolster its form, recovering 30% health and mana over 6 sec and greatly increasing stealth detection to all nearby friendly targets within 30 yards. Cannot be used while in combat.

Consume Shadows is a channeled heal over time and mana regeneration spell that the Voidwalker casts on itself. It is automatically learned by the Voidwalker at level 56.
Tips and tactics
Considering how quickly pets regenerate health anyway, it's not often useful, although being Soul Linked to a Passive Voidwalker that is Consuming Shadows is one amazing scenario. However, if your Voidwalker has taken a particularly rough beating after a battle (which will be the case more often than not), this ability can help reduce downtime tremendously.
The ability's stealth detection buff can also be useful in a number of PvP scenarios. For instance, defenders in battlegrounds (especially Warsong Gulch and Twin Peaks) can continually channel this ability in order to prevent rogues and druids from launching surprise attacks. It can also be an effective counter when a nearby enemy rogue or druid is seen slipping into stealth.
Patch changes
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Duration reduced to 6 seconds, and effect increased 66%. Now also greatly increases all nearby allies' stealth detection while channelled.
All demon abilities and spells will automatically be learned as pets gain levels. Demon Master trainers will be removed.
