Wild Imps are imps summoned by [Hand of Gul'dan]. They attack with [Fel Firebolt]. As of BfA, Wild Imps have 100 energy and use 20 energy to fire a Fel Firebolt. When they run out of energy they die or expire.
Other spells apart from Hand of Guldan interact with the imps:
- When imps die, the passive [Demonic Core] procs instant cast charges of [Demonbolt]. With [Power Siphon] the charges can be guaranteed to be added, instead of random chance.
- The cooldown [Summon Demonic Tyrant] lets them cast Fel Firebolt for free while activated, essentially "extending" the imp's ability to cast before they expire.
- [Implosion] consumes the imps to deal cleave damage.
- [Imp Gang Boss] is a passive that randomly improves some of the imps.
The haste stat affects the imps by making them cast faster, but does not affect their energy nor improve the amount of Fel Firebolts they can cast. Instead, haste allows the warlock to generate more [Soul Shards] and cast more of their imp activating abilities in a given time period, so that more imps can be active at a time.
History
In Legion, imps would always survive for a fixed duration so haste speeding up their casts as well as the amount of active imps made this stat scale up their damage rapidly.
[Demonic Consumption] consumes active imps to grant a damage buff. This spell was removed in Dragonflight.
