Cartel Xy is one of the broker cartels. They specialize in acquiring and selling anything and everything of value. The brokers of Cartel Xy are usually quite aggressive and territorial in their acquisitions. In De Other Side, Maw Walkers had to fight Dealer Xy'exa, a broker who was a "business partner" of Bwonsamdi and had acquired some of his mojo in a deal they had made.[1] The leader of the cartel, Artificer Xy'mox, was seen in Castle Nathria, in Revendreth, working with Sire Denathrius. A raid of Maw Walkers had to stop him from stealing the powerful artifacts being held in the castle's vault.[2]

Cartel Xy is one of the leading cartels in Tazavesh. There they own the Grand Menagerie where they sell rare and valuable items they have "acquired". Nothing is off-limits; exotic beasts, forbidden technology, and even cursed artifacts, are all on display. Xy-aligned brokers are also numerous in the bazaar outside Myza's Oasis, selling and buying a wide range of exotic wares.[3] Former Trade Prince Gallywix can be seen in Myza's Oasis with members of the cartel.

In Korthia, Xy'lonu set up at Keeper's Respite, and sent Maw Walkers in quests to collect boxes with various items acquired by her associates in Korthia. She also sent them in bounties to kill various powerful Mawsworn hindering the work of her cartel in Korthia. [4]

Artificer Xy'mox in the Sepulcher of the First Ones

Once the passage to Zereth Mortis was opened the cartel was quick to attempt to profit off that realm. Members of the cartel were stopped by Al'dalil, Rana, and a Maw Walker from sabotaging the Enlightened in Haven.[5] The group was also able to stop the Xy agents who had broken inside the Slumbering Vault though not before Artificer Xy'mox was able to get what he was looking for in there according to Xy'kaz.[6] A Maw Walker later had to stop Xy assassins that were targeting Firim. Other members of the cartel can be found around the zone. The Maw Walkers had another confrontation with Artificer Xy'mox and Cartel Xy in the Sepulcher of the First Ones where they were in the process of plundering the ancient knowledge and powerful relics buried there.[7]

  • The item  [Hyperlight Multitool] mentions a "Di'lks of Cartel Xy" but their name is inconsistent with the broker naming convention where the name of the cartel they belong to is attached as a prefix to their name.
  • The list of teleport locations that  [Cartel Xy's Proof of Initiation] can send one to implies that they have associates not just inside the Shadowlands, but also in the Great Dark Beyond, in planets such as Azeroth, Outland and Argus.
  • While  [Xy'rath's Signature Saber] is equipped or in your bags, a stealthed Cartel Xy Agent will occasionally appear nearby.
