Thalassian (speculation)

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Darnassian, Thalassian, and Nazja seem to have many common phrases, and Thalassian might be so similar to Darnassian that it would be more correct to call it a dialect, rather than a separate language. There are, however, many words, forms, and tenses that differ to the extent that they probably should be considered different languages. The first thing to keep in mind is that Thalassian does not follow the rules of English and there is often likely no "word for word" literal translation of any given phrase. To find the meaning behind given phrases takes a little more effort then, but the first step to figuring out the structure of a language is in identifying parts of speech.

Concerning nouns in plural and singular, there have been found a pattern which could be either a coincidence or actually intended by the creator of Thalassian.
