Shadowlands Season 1 is a season for both PvP and PvE that began on 8 December 2020 with the opening of the raid Castle Nathria.[1] It ended on 28 June 2021, the day before patch 9.1.0 released.[2]

- Seasonal affix
[Prideful] - Players overflow with pride as they defeat non-boss enemies, eventually forming a Manifestation of Pride. Defeating this Manifestation greatly empowers players.
The 
[Skittish] and 
[Teeming] affixes were retired and replaced with 
[Spiteful] and 
[Storming].

Great Vault
The Great Vault is a new system with this season, serving as a weekly reward system. This season included the following objectives, with a nine options and one choice allowed each row for a total of three rewards. These objectives can change with each new season.
