• Fiends rise from the corpses of non-boss enemies and pursue random players.

Spiteful is a level 14 affix for Mythic+. It causes enemies to spawn Spiteful Shades on death.

Patch changes

• Patch 10.1.5 (2023-07-11): Fixed an issue where [Scatter Shot] would incorrectly stop Spiteful Shades from slowly dying.
  
• Patch 10.1.0 (2023-05-02):
  • Moved from Level 4 to Level 14.
  • Spiteful Shades melee damage reduced by 10%.
  • Spiteful Shades health and damage no longer scale after keystone level 20.
